The story of We Take You begins with a friendship that, unknowingly, planted the seed for a project that would change the way tourists discover Puerto Rico, beyond San Juan. It all started when a close friend of Rolando, Major Ryan from the New Jersey Police, visited Puerto Rico on vacation. After spending four days in San Juan, Ryan, fascinated by the beauty of the island, asked Rolando if he could take him to explore beyond the capital. With enthusiasm, Rolando agreed, knowing that the south of the island, with its authentic charm, would offer his friend an unforgettable experience.

Together, they toured the picturesque towns of southern Puerto Rico, enjoyed traditional flavors like pinchos, bacalaitos, and domplines, and immersed themselves in the local culture at every corner they visited. Each step of the journey was filled with history, culture, and moments of wonder. But at the end of the day, when Ryan wanted to pay Rolando for being his guide, Rolando, with humility, declined the offer. It was then that Ryan, with a sparkle in his eyes, gave him a piece of advice that would change his live: "Create a tourism product, Rolando. You can't imagine what you've just shown me. If you hadn't taken me, I would have never discovered these places."
